Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Tempo collects, why it is needed, how it is protected, and the choices available to you.
1. Who operates Tempo
Tempo is an independently developed calendar and schedule organization service (“Tempo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Tempo is not affiliated with any school, university, employer, or calendar provider. Privacy questions may be sent to konexy.help@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your first name, last name, email address, account identifier, and authentication information. Authentication is provided by Google Firebase. Tempo does not have access to your readable password. Firebase may process technical information such as IP address, user agent, and authentication/security logs to operate and protect the account system.
Calendar and schedule information
We collect information you choose to enter, including semester names and dates, event and course titles, categories, dates and times, recurrence settings, locations or meeting links, course/context information, notes, completion status, reminder preferences, timezone, and category-color preferences.
Technical and support information
Our infrastructure providers may process limited technical information necessary to authenticate users, deliver app updates, execute account-deletion requests, prevent abuse, and maintain service reliability. If you contact support, we collect the message and contact information you provide.
Notifications
If you grant notification permission, Tempo schedules reminders on your device. Notification content may include the title and timing of an event. You can disable notifications in your device settings. Tempo currently uses local device notifications and does not require access to your contacts, precise location, microphone, or advertising identifier.
3. How we use information
- Authenticate your account and keep your schedule connected to it.
- Store, display, synchronize, edit, repeat, complete, and delete calendar items.
- Deliver reminders and provide calendar features such as free-time and workload views.
- Respond to support and password-reset requests.
- Protect the service, investigate abuse, and meet legal obligations.
- Maintain and improve reliability without using personal data for targeted advertising.
4. Service providers and disclosure
We use service providers only to operate Tempo. These currently include Google Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, database storage, hosting, and server functions, and Expo for building, delivering, and updating the application. These providers process information under their own contractual privacy and security obligations.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users or the service, investigate fraud or security issues, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the service. We do not sell or rent personal information.
5. Storage, security, and international processing
Calendar data is stored in a Firebase project configured in the United States. Firebase Authentication operates from U.S. data centers, and service providers may process information in locations where they maintain facilities. We use authenticated access controls and database rules designed to restrict each user to their own information. No system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain account and calendar information while your account remains active or as needed to provide the service. You may permanently delete your account from Tempo → Profile → Delete account and data. This deletes your Tempo account and associated calendar records from our active systems. Provider backups and certain security logs may persist for a limited period; Firebase states that authentication information removed from live systems may take up to 180 days to be removed from backup systems. We may retain information longer only when required by law, security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.
You may also request assistance by emailing konexy.help@gmail.com from the address associated with your account.
7. Your choices and rights
You can review and edit most calendar information directly in Tempo, disable notifications through device settings, delete individual items, or delete your entire account. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of personal information, or object to certain processing. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
8. Children
Tempo is not directed to children under 13, and people under 13 may not create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Tempo changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after an update means the revised policy applies from its effective date.
